Shrimp Fried Rice / Saewoo Bokkeumbap

Fried rice is one of the Chinese dishes that is served fast and contains stir-fried steamed rice with chopped vegetables, egg, salt, black pepper, soy sauce and meat or seafood. It is known as a Chinese chef started it to get rid of leftover steamed rice for the first time, but people who are having rice as the staple food could have created it.
Not only Asia area but also southwest Africa and a few European area have their own traditional fried rice.

In Korea Kimchi fried rice represents typical Korean style fried rice but at a Chinese restaurant in Korea, there are something very Koreanized food or style such as Jajangmyun, Jambbong, etc. The rice in this dish can be different from what you had before because Korean steamed rice is sticky rice, called japonica rice as well, that is different species from indica rice that is mostly used all over the world. Sometimes I got it more likely bibimbap than fried rice.

 I didn't know why the steamed rice was dried up on the roof of the Chinese restaurant that ran by my friend's family when I was young.

The fried rice is one of the fast meal you can get in the restaurant because it cooked in a Wok(Chinese Cookware) on the high temperature of fire.
You will get a little bit of black bean sauce on the side that is same as the black bean sauce with noodle(Jajangmyun) and a small bowl of soup, mostly spicy seafood soup with noodle(Jambbong) if you order any type of fried rice at a Chinese restaurant in Korea. This time I got shrimp fried rice, black bean sauce, and seafood egg soup, I guess.
As I remember, the sauce and soup were not served together before. Those were special treatment for regular customers for free so that you needed to get closer relation with the restaurant owner or chef to get them, but nowadays those are served as a combination menu.
In this restaurant, I got all of them and pickled green pepper as well as a general side dish, the pickled radish and sliced raw onion.

Variation of Fried rice
-Fried Rice: Normal version of fried rice that has carrot, onion, green onion, salt, egg, black pepper, pork
-Samseon Fried Rice: 3 kinds of seafood are added instead of meat such as squid, shrimp, mussel, etc.
-Crab Meat Fried Rice: Crab meat is added instead of pork
